From 27 to 30 January 2026, we went on a school trip to London, an experience we will remember for a long time. Over four days, we discovered the city together and learned in a very different way from our usual lessons. The fact that the weather was good really helped us enjoy the walks and visits without rushing.
During the trip, we visited places we had only seen in books or online, such as Tate Britain, and we were impressed by the views from Horizon 22. We also saw famous landmarks like Big Ben, Westminster and Buckingham Palace, and spent time in museums such as the National Gallery, the British Museum and the Natural History Museum. Visiting Camden Market was also one of the moments we enjoyed the most. We ate a snack and bought some nice souvenirs there. To our surprise, in some of the street shops, we were expected to bargain. Is this so because we are from Barcelona?
What really made the trip special was staying with host families. Living, sharing everyday routines and speaking English with them helped us feel more confident and independent. We came back tired but happy, with many shared memories and the feeling that this experience allowed us to know each other better. Our motto: “I am tired, but I’m in London!”.
